You should have a recent email inviting you to create your uniqname.
Anyone can create a Friend account. They are commonly used by student applicants, parents/guardians accessing student financials and some students in non-degree programs.
Alumni normally set up their accounts while enrolled. If you were never assigned a uniqname, you can request one.
